Sam Brown was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where he played basketball at Dr. Phillips High School under Coach Pete Hubert. Sam continued his College career at St. John’s Community College. As a walk on freshman for Coach Steve Swank, he made an immediate impact to the team  by displaying his leadership on and off the court. His hard work and dedication earned him valuable minutes and playing time during his one year at St. John’s. His sharp shooting ability and hustle on defense, helped strengthen the style and play of the Vikings. Within a year, Sam worked his way to became one of the Vikings most valuable and dependable players. Before the season ended he suffered a knee injury which sidelined him for the remainder of  the season. After Sam took one year off to rehab his knee in Orlando, Florida. He was determined to return back to school and the basketball court, so he transferred to Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida under new head Coach Jeff Burkhammer who now coaches at Landers University. This time as a walk on Sophomore, Sam continued to impress players and coaches with his leadership and hard work on and off the court. During his time at Santa Fe, the Saints were ranked in the Top 5 in the state of Florida and were ranked in the Top 10 in the country. We are very fortunate to have Coach Sam as a part our AAU Organization. His Love and passion for the game of basketball is clearly displayed on the sidelines and off the court. He teaches and coaches our kids not only about basketball but about the game of life. Coach Sam is actively playing in Men’s Leagues in the Fairfax and Prince William County areas. He will be entering his Second year as a Coach and his first as a Head Coach and General Manager of P.S.P.A.
